John is a bit of a legend around these parts, and a total powerhouse in the saddle.
By day, he’s a structural engineer. By morning/night/weekends, you’ll find him churning out serious wattage, either in the studio or out on the road. He started attending Ride classes at Evolution when we opened our doors at the beginning of 2018, smashing more classes than anyone else over the year. In the process, he dropped over 30kg.
John played decent rugby until a bad ankle break ended that portion of his career. He turned to cycling to lose weight and improve fitness, found Evolution, got hooked, and the rest is history!
In the saddle, John leans towards Strength and Power intervals set to classic house beats. Think big gears and low cadence, and an aversion to anything to do with watts per kilo.
