EVO’S FTP BUILD PROGRAMME EXPLAINED

Our 2023 FTP Build programme will run from 9 January until 4 March. It’s an eight-week structured and progressive programme that builds your Functional Threshold Power (FTP) allowing you to ride faster on the road and climb with greater ease.

*In 2020, the average improvement was a staggering 17 watts, and in 2021 14 watts!

THE CLASSES

We recommend you three take of our FTP Build classes a week (one Threshold, one V02Max and one Endurance/Tempo). The full FTP Build class list includes: 

  • VO2Max Power Build, 45 mins, Monday and Thursday, 19:30, with Ian M

  • Threshold Build, 60 mins, Tuesday and Wednesday, 19:30, with Tina A

  • Endurance, 75 mins, Saturday, 10:30, with Tina A/Ian M

  • Tempo Ride, 60 mins, Sunday, 10:30, with TNE

HOW WILL I KNOW IT’S WORKING?

Book into a Threshold ride (from 10 January) and EVO’s Head of Ride, Tina A, will analyse your performance each week and add watts to your FTP. Book on the same bike and commit to each week for maximum benefit.

Tina A is our Head of Ride and Cycling Coach. Her classes are science-based, structured and precise, wrapped up in a unique EVO style with euphoric tunes. Whatever your level, Tina will help you reach your potential.

Ian M, Ride Instructor

After leaving the Army in 2021, Ian has focused his lifelong health and fitness passion on two wheels! A keen amateur road racer, he encourages consistency and discipline to achieve fitness goals. His calm and relaxed teaching style will get the very best out of your legs.

TNE

As well as being the owner and founder of EVO, TNE is an indoor cycling expert. He passionately believes in giving people the best possible tools to help become great humans and live a tip top and tidy life. TNE’s Tempo sessions are the ideal recovery ride to supplement the increase in power you are aiming for in Tina and Ian’s sessions
